He has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia; he holds a Master’s Degree in Dermatology and Venereology from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Full Professor at the Complex Structure of Dermatology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. He is the author of more than 500 scientific publications. He is on the board of the International League of Dermatology Societies (ILDS) and the International Dermoscopy Society (IDS), on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD) and of the Journal of the European Academy of Dermato Venereology (JEADV), and he is also a member of several national and international scientific societies including SIDEMAST, AAD, ADA and EADV.
